For as long as I can remember I had a passion for cooking and making good BBQ is one of the aspects of cooking that I enjoy the most. After many years at the Firehouse making BBQ for my colleagues and purchasing my first Weber Smokey Mountain cooker, I knew I was pretty good at making BBQ. However, I wanted to be more than good, so I enrolled in several different BBQ cook schools throughout the US. After completing several classes in BBQ techniques, I got the encouragement and motivation to start my own BBQ competition team. In an effort to ensure I knew exactly what the judges were looking for I became a member of Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS). I furthered my knowledge by attending a judging class with KCBS and became a certified BBQ judge. So believe me when I say “I know what authentic BBQ should taste like.”
Although I have a passion for competition BBQ, I see the need to share my expertise in this culinary art with the many people
that also love good, authentic, southern style BBQ. Thus, the birth of our family owned 5 Alarm Backyard BBQ & Catering business. Let us show you how big we can make your barbeque experience. You will be sure to share your experience with your friends and family.
